Financial Analyst

Position Summary

The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial planning and analysis of the Company in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This position is responsible for analyzing financial statement and projecting future performance of the company.  This position includes forecasting revenues and expenditures, as well as modeling capital structure and budgeting. Besides responsible for keeping track of Company financial planning, analyzing the company performance, creating forecasts, and explaining variances, this position also will the responsible for Operating and Marketing analysis to provide support for both operation and sales team as needed.


  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting and operational metrics tracking
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
  • Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends and make recommendations for improvements including cost control, Sales team KPI
  • Work closely with accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and Excel dashboard

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • Additional qualification (e.g. CPA or CFA or MBA) a plus
  • 3-5+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is a must
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL preferable
  • Excellent presentation skills to enable easy internal client education on principles of accounting

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit at a computer, read computer screen, and input information for long periods of time.  Sharing office space is a possibility.  Some light travel could be required.  Must be able to move about office as needed.  Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds.
